Anesthesia Options for Oral Surgery

Local Anesthesia

Local anesthesia numbs only the area being treated. You’ll be awake and aware, but you won’t feel pain during your procedure. This is commonly used for simpler treatments such as single tooth extractions.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide is a mild sedative that helps reduce anxiety and keep you relaxed. It’s administered through a small mask and works quickly—with minimal recovery time. Perfect for patients who want to feel more at ease without being fully asleep.

IV Sedation

Intravenous (IV) sedation allows you to sleep comfortably through your procedure. You won’t be fully unconscious like general anesthesia, but you’ll be deeply relaxed—and may not remember the procedure at all. IV sedation is a preferred choice for more complex surgeries or for patients who prefer not to be awake during their care.
