What Is Full-Arch Restoration?
Full-arch restoration, sometimes called “Teeth in a Day” or “All-on-4®,” is a revolutionary procedure that uses as few as four dental implants to support a full set of upper or lower teeth. These implants act as stable anchors for a fixed, custom-made prosthesis that functions just like natural teeth—without the hassle of removable dentures.
This approach not only restores the appearance and function of your smile but also prevents jawbone deterioration caused by missing teeth.
What to Expect: The Full-Arch Restoration Process
Every treatment begins with a personalized consultation and ends with a beautiful, functional smile. Here’s how the journey typically unfolds:
- Comprehensive Consultation
We begin with a detailed evaluation, including 3D Cone Beam CT imaging, to assess your oral health and create a custom treatment plan.
- Precise Implant Placement
Using advanced technology, Dr. Kovach will place four or more dental implants into the jawbone during a single surgical visit. Removal of any remaining teeth may be accomplished at this time or prior to implant placement.
- Healing & Temporary Teeth
During the healing period (a few months), a temporary denture may be provided so you never have to go without a smile. This can often be fully attached to implants during the healing phase.
- Final Prosthesis Placement
Once the implants have fully integrated with the bone, Dr. Kovach works closely with your restorative dentist to attach your permanent teeth. These are crafted for strength, beauty, and a natural feel – most often made with a high end ceramic material unlike dentures which are a plastic material..
