At the heart of Trinity River Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center is Dr. Todd A. Kovach, a board-certified, dual-degree oral and maxillofacial surgeon who combines advanced training, surgical expertise, and a compassionate approach to deliver exceptional care for patients across North Texas.
Personal Information
Dr. Todd Kovach is a board-certified, dual-degree oral and maxillofacial surgeon. As a Texas native, Dr. Kovach loves living and working in his home state. He is passionate about helping patients solve complex health problems, which is why he decided to pursue both a dental degree and a full medical degree before completing his oral surgery training.
When patients come to the practice, Dr. Kovach and the entire staff at Trinity River work hard to give patients the care they need in a friendly and comfortable environment. Whether you are in need of dental implants to restore your smile, wisdom teeth extractions, or another facial procedure, Dr. Kovach can provide high-quality care for your condition in our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Willow Park, TX.
Education
After his undergraduate studies, Dr. Kovach went to dental school at the Baylor University College of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He then went on to Texas Tech School of Medicine to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree before finishing a one-year general surgery internship at Baylor University Medical Center. This surgical experience gave him a great foundation to build his oral and maxillofacial surgery training.
Residency
Dr. Kovach completed four years of advanced oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Baylor College of Dentistry/ Baylor University Medical Center. This residency program helped Dr. Kovach build experience treating patients for a wide variety of oral and facial conditions. He is an expert in dental implants, reconstructive surgery, extractions, wisdom teeth procedures, and more.
Certifications
To achieve the highest level of oral surgery care, Dr. Kovach decided to become certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The board-certification process involves a rigorous examination process testing his knowledge of the clinical and surgical practices involved in the specialty. Dr. Kovach is also a member of various local dental societies, such as the Texas Dental Association and the Fort Worth District Dental Society.
Interests
In his free time, Dr. Kovach enjoys hunting, participating in competitive shooting events, golfing, and spending time with his wife, Ali. They are both proud Baylor Football fans, and they go to football games often to cheer on the bears.
